Summary |
Dramatization of the true story of Father Jozo Zovko, a Franciscan priest in Bosnia, Herzegovina who was tortured by the Communists for refusing to abandon his people. Gospa, which means "Our Lady" in Croatian, unfolds in Medjugorje in 1981, where six children insist the Blessed Virgin Mary appears to them on a hillside. In a few short days, the village awakens not only to growing crowds eager to join the children and pray in simple faith, but also to police armed with dogs and determined to break up the multitudes of people. |
